Ozone Therapy

Ozone therapy in root canals involves the application of ozone gas to disinfect and treat the infected area within the tooth. The process begins with the removal of infected tissue and debris from the root canal. Once cleaned, ozone gas is introduced into the canal, where it penetrates the microscopic crevices, effectively eliminating bacteria, viruses and fungi. This treatment not only sterilizes the area but also promotes healing by stimulating blood flow and enhancing the body’s natural immune response. Additionally, ozone therapy reduces the need for traditional disinfectants that may be harsh on surrounding tissues. Its non-invasive nature and ability to target pathogens without harming healthy tissue make it an appealing option for root canal therapy, offering patients a faster recovery time and improved overall health.
